Mission
Our mission is to be the center of choice for patients, surgeons, and affiliated doctors. Our practices aim to educate and inform patients, and provide the highest quality medical care in a caring environment.  By providing the latest and most appropriate technology, we deliver extraordinary patient care.

Reputation and Experience

Our organization has gained the reputation of being a premier, specialty eye care practice in the region.  As specialists in cornea and external disease, we are often referred complex and unusual cases.  Our practice takes a conservative approach to medical treatment and surgery, and offers a wide variety of treatment options to meet the needs of our patients.

Dr. Rajesh Rajpal has been a cornea specialist in the Washington DC area since 1992.  In that time, he has become known as a leader in his field.  As such, he has been widely published and interviewed by mainstream media such as CNN, NBC, local news stations and The Washington Post.  Dr. Rajpal has been recognized by Washingtonian magazine as one of the top ophthalmologists in the Washington D.C. area for LASIK surgery, and was honored with the Achievement Award by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

After her professional training, Dr. Lorie Logan, Optometric Director, completed a residency training program, which only 10% of optometrists complete.  She is a highly accomplished optometrist with extensive experience in treating ocular diseases and disorders.

Advanced Technology

Our board certified surgeons are always on the leading edge of our specialty.  Each year, we continue to invest in new technology and diagnostic tools to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.  For LASIK surgery, we have the VISX Star 4 and Intralase, which allows for all-laser LASIK.

For advanced cataract surgery, our surgeons offer all options currently available in the U.S. today, from standard intraocular lenses to specialty intraocular lenses.  Our doctors work with each patient individually to determine which solution will most benefit their lifestyle.  Our skilled surgeons aim to provide each patient with the safest and most advanced surgical care.

Research & Clinical Trials

Our Medical Director was involved in clinical trials for laser surgery.  He was the first surgeon in the Washington, DC area to perform laser refractive surgery as a principal investigator in the clinical trials for FDA approval.

Our doctors are involved with ongoing clinical trials. By working with major pharmaceutical companies, we are on the cutting edge of current and future treatment options.

Government Contracting

The federal government has demonstrated its confidence in our organization by awarding us long-term contracts to provide services for laser centers and ophthalmology clinics at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland and Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.  We supply a variety of health care personnel, including doctors, technicians, and managers to the centers.

Educating Doctors

See Clearly Vision is proud to hold continuing education classes for optometrists in the Mid-Atlantic region.  We are pleased to be involved in conveying new information and techniques to doctors.

Our Medical Director has trained over 2,000 ophthalmologists nationwide in laser vision correction techniques. In addition to speaking throughout the United States, Dr. Rajpal is a world-renowned speaker, traveling the globe teaching his colleagues the latest treatments and techniques.  Recently, he has lectured in Mexico, India, China, and Europe.  Additionally, Dr. Rajpal serves as the Corneal Consultant for Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and is on the faculty of both Georgetown and George Washington University Medical Centers.

Dr. Gitanjali Baveja has presented her research in ocular trauma and neuro-ophthalmology at ARVO (Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology).  She has also lectured on a wide variety of topics including ocular leprosy, sympathetic ophthalmia, HIV related complications, and advances in cataract surgery.

Dr. Lorie Logan, our Optometric Director, was selected to serve as a consultant for the Council on Optometric Education which accredits optometry schools, optometry residencies, and optometric technician programs.  In addition, she serves as a proctor for the clinical skills examination given to recent graduates by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.  Furthermore, she trains students on all aspects of care including professionalism, ethics and clinical skills by serving as an Externship Director for the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and as a Rotation Site Director for the Ophthalmic Medical Technologist Program at Georgetown University.

Outreach

Dr. Logan has made several trips to third world countries to provide eye care to underserved areas and the indigent.  In the past few years, she has been to El Salvador, Guatemala, and more locally, rural southwest Virginia.  She plans to continue these outreach efforts to ensure that all patients are able to receive quality eye care.
