Christine A. Tagayun, M.D. is a Cornea specialist, Cataract and Refractive surgeon at See Clearly Vision in McLean, Virginia, and Arlington, Virginia. An Alabama native, she is dedicated to providing thorough and compassionate ophthalmic care with a dose of Southern charm. In addition to general eye care, cataract, and refractive surgery, she holds a strong passion for aesthetic procedures to rejuvenate and enhance the appearance of the eyes and eyelids.
Dr. Tagayun received her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology from Emory University and a Master of Science degree in Biophysics and Physiology from Georgetown University. She returned to Alabama and earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received honors and recognition, including the Scholastic Excellence Award in Clinical Performance.
Her postgraduate training took her to the University of California at San Diego where she pursued an internship in Internal Medicine prior to completing Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. She has extensive experience with laser-assisted cataract surgery, premium intraocular lenses, medical care of retinal diseases, and oculoplastic procedures.
Dr. Tagayun is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology as well as the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Tagayun was just recently named a “2023 Top Doctor” by the Washingtonian and a “2023 Top Doctor” by Northern Virginia Magazine.
Outside of the workplace, Dr. Tagayun enjoys traveling, musical theater, long distance running, scuba-diving, and photography.
